Providing a cozy and functional venue for the EcoMateriales Conferences has been one of the highlights of the past editions.
On this occasion it is a hotel situated in the heart of the host city Bayamo, the three star Hotel Sierra Maestra, that can accommodate all the participants and has three comfortable sitting rooms/lounges for the work sessions.

Through its proximity to the Plaza del Himno (Plaza of the Anthem), the house where Manuel de Cespedes (father of the homeland) was born, and the window of Luz Vazquez, the Hotel Sierra Maestra perennially invites discovery of memorable pages of national history. Its surroundings of rich cultural and traditional history is complementary to its installations from which one is able to approach the Cuban lifestyle and customs.

The Hotel is a four-story building to which have been added several elements in traditional Cuban architecture. It has 116 air-conditioned rooms with telephone, TV and private bathrooms.
